Two Months, Already?
Happy Two Months, Charlie Mae! Mama and Daddy cannot believe how fast the last month has flown by. We have had lots of fun moments, including a visit with the Timberlake fam!
Here are some of the highlights from my second month.
Did someone say milk?
I am getting really good at this whole tummy time activity. I can hold my head way up high, at least for a second or two.
My Timberlake Grands and Uncle Brett came to Charlottesville to see me for Thanksgiving! We had a great time.
But I may have overloaded on the turkey. Gobble, Gobble!
Meet Mimzy.
And G-Dad.
G-Dad has mastered the double, mirror selfie!
Uncle Brett was a natural at holding me and playing with me.
He discovered that the zebra is my favorite toy. So Mama decided to dress me like a zebra.
This is one of my many newborn outfits that doesn't fit anymore. Here's another one.
No, but seriously. I love kisses.
Who does this face look like?
Mama thinks that there are probably thousands of pictures of Daddy making this exact same face.
Mama packed away all my newborn clothes. She was so sad that I have already outgrown them.
Even though I am only two months old, I am already wearing my 3 month outfits. Like this cute dress from Uncle Brett and Aunt Jordann!
This past month, I also met Santa. I told him that I had been a very good girl.
He wasn't so sure.
Even though we will be in Texas for Christmas, Mama wanted to make certain we decorated our home for my first Christmas. Here's my first Christmas tree and our new stockings--and baby makes three!
Daddy also wanted to photo document his Movember mustache one last time before he shaved it. He styled this photo shoot (how do you like my pink cowgirl boots?), but the photographer (Mama) didn't quite capture his vision as much as he would have liked.
I still thought it was pretty funny.
Today, I am officially two months old!
I'm getting pretty big already!
In fact, I am 11 lbs even and 23.15 inches long. Tall and skinny like my Daddy! I also survived my first shots today--all three of them! I only cried for a few seconds and pouted for a couple of minutes. Pretty good for a two month old!
Mama and I are off to Texas on Sunday and Daddy will join us the next Saturday. We cannot wait to celebrate Christmas with the Timberlake family and the Martin family. I'll be certain to tell Mama to take lots of pictures for our next blog post!
Merry Christmas from the Timberlakes!

Happy One Month, Charlie Mae!
Mama and Daddy are so excited that I made it to one month! But they cannot believe how fast the time is passing and how big I am getting.
Mama and Daddy were really excited to celebrate the occasion!
However, I was only slightly amused.
And, frankly, I was a bit bored with all the picture taking.
This weekend, we finally had my newborn photos taken (I'm still considered a newborn, right?!). Here are some of Mama and Daddy's favorites that didn't make the announcement or the Christmas card short list!
Nice mustache, Daddy! But it's Movember and he is a urology resident...
I'm already quite the thinker...
I went to the doctor today for my one month check up. I am 9 lbs, 10.1 oz and 22 inches long--such a big girl now!
After I eat, I like to sing and play and do some tummy time.
Although sometimes it can be exhausting.
I also like to go on walks with friends, like my friend, Webb, and his mama, Ashley. We have to bundle up because it is getting cold here in Virginia.
Sometimes Webb and I like to see who can scream louder during our walks!
I'm starting to smile a little and asserting my opinion--A LOT. Mama and I don't always agree on the pacifier. I like to have my paci when I'm going to sleep, but when I fall asleep it falls out and wakes me up. I don't mind making Mama come in and put the paci back in my mouth, but she's getting pretty tired of it!
Daddy took some paternity days last week, so we were able to hang out a lot more. Mama even got to go to the gym a few times. She was really excited about that!
Our neighbors hired some goats to do their landscaping. That was a pretty funny thing to watch from our window.
All and all, it has been a really good month. I've spent time with family and friends and I'm learning to sleep in my crib at bed time and for naps! I like to FaceTime and Skype with my Timberlake Grands and Pop and Marmee.
Soon, I'll get to meet my Timberlake Grands in person during the Thanksgiving holiday. We are so excited to see them! And in December, I'll make my first trip to my native land--Texas! Mama has been teaching me all of her favorite Texas songs in preparation--like "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and Texas Longhorn songs, "Texas Fight" and "The Eyes of Texas." We're all excited to get to visit Texas!

Weeks 2 and 3
I have had a busy couple of weeks. Mama, Pop, and Marmee took me on lots of adventures--like Target and Carter Mountain. Pop, Daddy, and Mama love the apple pie from Carter Mountain!
Mama found out that I am very fond of motion, whether it is in the car or in my stroller. This is great motivation for Mama to get out and moving! We go on lots of walks.
Yet, my mood can change pretty quickly!
Daddy discovered that I like to sleep sideways while he holds me.
Auntie Errin came to visit during my second week. I dressed for her arrival.
I also started play time on my playmat (thank you, Bill and Sandra Westcott).
For Halloween, Mama made me change outfits a couple of times, even though she knows I hate getting undressed/dressed. Oh well, it was worth it! First I wore a "My First Halloweeen" outfit.
Then I was Minnie Mouse for the Halloween celebration on the lawn of the UVA campus.
There were lots of cute kids in costumes, but it was really crowded. I did get to see lots of my friends while I was there.
I am starting to sleep longer and better every night. Mama really appreciates that! During the day, I like to be held a lot, so Mama carries me around in my Moby wrap while she does things around the house. Maybe I'll get back to enjoying my swing and bouncer again soon! (Mama's fingers are crossed.)
I'm starting to enjoy bath time a little more, though it's still not my favorite!
Here I am in some of my cute onesies! Correction: Thank you, Auntie Errin. Mama is mixing up the Texas onesies! I'll be wearing the I Heart Texas onesie from Uncle Brett and Aunt Jordann some day soon!
Thanks, Ryan and Courtney Smith and the Smith family!
I am three weeks old today! Time is moving so fast and I am getting so big already. Mama will have to take more pictures so that we can remember how much I changed in the first month.

While she was here, we did a lot of walking. We even made it to King Family Vineyards, one of Mama's favorite vineyards in Charlottesville. Isn't the scenery beautiful?
I also started play time on my playmat (thank you, Bill and Sandra Westcott).
And a little tummy time. I can lift my head up really well and change it from side to side. Mama is very impressed with my strength!
