Charlie Mae's First Week

My first week was pretty eventful…

I was born at 8:46PM EST on October 11, 2013.  I weighed 7lbs 15oz and I was 20 inches long (although Pop and Daddy decided they probably measured me wrong--they think I must have been at least 21 inches).

I hung out with Mama and Daddy in the hospital for a couple of days and took lots of naps with Daddy.

On Sunday, October 13th, I finally got to go home and see my new room.  At first, I didn't like my car seat at all.

And then I was wondering where Mama and Daddy were taking me.  It was my first time in the outside outside world.

My first couple of days at home, I ate a lot, pooped a lot, and did some more napping with Daddy.

And more napping…

And more napping in my pack and play (Thanks Westcott family!)…

And more napping in my bouncer (Thank you, Aunt Tammy!)…

And more napping.  You get the picture.

Daddy gave me some kisses to celebrate my first 72 hours.

On Tuesday, I went to see the doctor.  She said that I was doing great!

On Wednesday, Pop and Marmee arrived from Texas.

Pop likes to hold me while I'm napping.  Not so much when I'm crying!

During my first week, I even did some formal dining.  My manners and etiquette are already impeccable.  Look at my crossed legs!

I had my first bath at home.  I wasn't a big fan of bathing (other than the hair washing), but I did love snuggling in my hug-alot-amus towel (Thanks, Kasie and Daniel Baker!).

I'm even pretty good about sleeping in the crib already.  This makes my Mama very happy!

Thank you to Pop and Marmee, McGuireWoods, Grandad and Hildegard Timberlake, and Nick (Mick), Joli, Maddox, and Nash (Ash) for the flowers.  I love them!

Also, thank you to all my Charlottesville friends for the gifts, the visits, and the food.  It sure helped my Mama and Daddy a lot during my first week.

All and all, it was a pretty busy first week.  I gained back to my birth weight + 2 ounces within a week, so my doctors are very impressed.  We'll update you on my progress again soon!
